i've read recently that at this age mya wants to experiment with feeding herself. sure enough, i noticed her reaching relentlessly for the spoon. it is messy but who cares? it's good for her to have this minor independence as she explores all that she is able to do for herself, and it makes for really cute pictures such as these!
