Unfortunately, Bryan has a birthday just days before Christmas. Who wants their birthday to get lost in the holiday hustle and bustle? Thus, we always celebrate the anniversary of his birth with friends in early December, before everyone and their mother clear the state for holiday travel. December 22 is the actual birthday which is 'done up right' with balloons, banners, specific birthday gifts wrapped in birthday paper (no Christmas/birthday gifts). To top this evening off we headed to our favorite Italian restaurant where there is usually a four-hour wait. Not this night! We sat right down.
Probably the most note-worthy mention: new iPod. The Chicken Trio at Carrabbas took a sorry second to this new and improved technology. It was a fun evening full of lobster ravioli, chocolate martinis, and a complimentary babysitter. It doesn't get much better than that.
