sometimes i look at her

and i just can't believe how beautiful she is. she's a little person with a strong personality that loves life and learning and doing things by herself. yet here in her highchair with her bib and her micro fork i can't help but feel overwhelmed with a desire to love her and protect her. the drudgery and mundane of daily tasks like changing diapers and clothing and washing hands and face and highchair trays are all worth it to be able to be home with this little one. she makes it all worthwhile.
