old picture, current friend

i think it's safe to post this as they are on their way to visit, my brother's delightful girlfriend, lacey, is surprising my brother with a weekend to saint louis. we are so excited to receive them! the thing here is, mya thought i was saying 'tim and leasey', instead of 'lacey'. she kept saying 'leasey will crawl with me and sleep next to me in my crib, and we can read books, and leasey can sit in my little tiny chair and leasey is my best friend!' and i kept saying, 'sweetie, i think lacey's going to want to sleep in a big girl bed, and walk not crawl...i don't know, maybe she'll crawl with you, but she's an adult like mommy...' i was perplexed by mya showing confusion. it was the 'best friend' comment that made me realize the misunderstanding. mya thought leasey was on her way over. and while we're rather excited about uncle tim visiting us with lacey, we are also hungry to see our best friend leasey. so here's to lease. we miss you a lot.
