gateway to the west museum

well, we decided not to go up in the arch because we had some acrophobics in the group but we were able to visit the museum on the ground floor. it is interesting to see what it was like for charles, carolyn, mary, laura and carey ingalls to live all those years ago (my only connection to the world displayed before me was through the years of watching little house on the prairie. that made it quite fascinating to me. sad, i know.)


























story of a little girl in the olden days and how when she wanted a dolly her mommy had to sew one together for her (at least that's what i heard before my attention span ended). good thing i wasn't a mom back then. my girl would have played with stick dollies drawn in the dirt.
