the first (second) snow

technically this is the second snow of the season, but it came down less than 24 hours after the first snow, which had melted in only a few hours.

mya's first snow was on sunday morning! we were on our way out the door and didn't have time for pictures. but there shall be plenty more opportunity for pictures of mya in the snow.

i love the snow. it makes me so happy. i was walking to betsy's apartment monday night and i purposely walked through the snow-covered grass so i could hear it crunch under my boots and dust the toes of my shoes. it makes me smile. perhaps that's because i spent the first 16 years of my life in a place that had four seasons, often a white christmas. i cannot imagine living again in a place that does not provide such a calm, white blanket as this.

bryan and i decorated our christmas tree on sunday, sipped hot chocolate, and watched big, fat snow flakes fall down in a furry outside. i'm telling you, it does not get much better than that. i am loving my life.
