'my pacey'

i don't usually give my friends nic names but kacey is one such friend who dons the made up name 'pacey'. i got to know her really well when we worked together with our church's college ministry in tallahassee. we were on staff together and i've never worked with someone that i enjoyed as much. kacey got to know me as bryan's wife and so bryan is friends with her too. she was one of the first friends i told when i was pregnant with mya. she came over when mya was two days old and many times thereafter, to hold, love on, and feed mya. she quickly became a pseudo-aunt kacey.

a year ago, kacey married one lucky man, justin. they got married a week before bryan and i moved to saint louis. bryan and i were able to read scripture during the ceremony, which was in charleston. we'd never been to charleston and now i know why it is so famous. it is gorgeous and quaint. bryan and i loved dining downtown with our friends and watching the boats come and go from the harbor at their wedding reception. fabulous!

k & j were our first 'tallahassee' friends to visit us here in the lou. it was awesome and i realized after she left how much i needed to see an old friend. granted, it was a short visit but such a refreshing one. we miss our friend and we love getting to know justin. mya in particular loved getting to know justin.
