bryan and i can't believe that there exists a six year old who is as patient and kind to mya as is ella. ella's mom and i went to college together, and ella's dad is our new pastor here in saint louis. we're getting to know this family and what is probably most exciting to me is watching mya enjoy ella. it tells me that chris and katie are doing something very, very right in raising their kids. they are already, at such a young age, displaying such love and patience. it is rare indeed. as we were leaving their house this evening, ella's little brother who's 4 yells to mya, 'love you', like she was his little sister. when i asked mya why she likes ella so much she responded, 'because she is so good to me'. and oh...true story.
