CWEers

i recently read in saint louis magazine this little abbreviation to describe a person who loves the 'central west end', a borough of saint louis. i would definitely call us 'CWEers'. it's such a beautiful, fun, quaint, aesthetically pleasing place to walk and to be a 'foodie', which is another word recently learned from the same magazine that aptly describes me. i'm a foodie. there are white twinkle lights strewn through trees, brick roads, deliciously old character-filled architecture, a movie theater in an old hotel, and restaurants/pubs galore. thankfully, my friends are foodies too and this night was inspired because some much needed girl power was in order. what made this evening so great was we talked about our lives before moving to off-campus seminary housing, who we were before we all turned our lives upside down for our men to get MDiv degrees. it was one ongoing conversation where one person talked at a time and the rest of us listened and asked questions. we learned new things about each other which was really cool. here we are at bar louie's, hoping to catch a glimpse of the george clooney who is currently residing in the hotel next door. no such luck, but what an evening.
