boston was hotter and more humid than saint louis during our stay which was a minor bummer almost totally overlooked by the grace we experienced there. after a 4 hour layover in philly (never go through philly!) we were met by tim and lacey who took us to the 'best' sushi in all of boston. mya fell right into lacey's arms and hardly left those arms until she went to bed. lacey left the next morning to work in new york. i think i'll pause and do a solid for her here and say that the name of the company she works for is radley and they are opening a store in long island. check them out here. bummer for us, she had to work very hard away from home while we were there. she was missed.

beautiful park

this was a special part of our trip because i got to see my childhood best friend, averi, and her one year old and very cute baby, hailey. averi and mya had yet to meet also.
when we were 7 years old, averi walked up to me at our piano recital and said, 'hi! wanna be friends?' she remembers it differently. anyway, we've been friends ever since. inseparable for years. then i moved to florida on her birthday. disastrous! but then i moved back and we picked right up where we left off. it has been a joy to be in her life.

love you, aves!
